To provide members with a safe place where they can report concerns about inappropriate behavior, bullying, or other personal issues. The confidential advisor listens in confidence, offers support, and helps find appropriate steps or solutions.

Audit committee

A committee of at least two people, who may not be part of the board and are appointed annually by the general meeting, examines the annual accounts and reports its findings at the annual meeting.

Beginner chess committee

Organizes beginner chess, held every first Tuesday of the month. Your task is to act as the competition leader for these evenings (4 rapid games per evening). More information: click here.

BBQ committee

The BBQ committee organizes the traditional end-of-season event in June or July. They select a suitable location and handle all preparations for a pleasant barbecue for the entire club.

The weekend committee organizes the annual SISSA weekend trip in spring. They arrange the location, accommodation, participant registration, and a fun activity program so members can enjoy a relaxed and social weekend together.

Chess for everyone committee

This committee organizes monthly chess gatherings for isolated or vulnerable people, in collaboration with Humanitas and the COA. The goal is to provide enjoyment, relaxation, and social connection through chess.

Tournament committee

The tournament committee organizes SISSA tournaments throughout the year. A regular highlight is the popular Fischer Random tournament, which returns annually. There is also room for creative or themed tournaments that fit the club’s atmosphere.

The website committee ensures that the SISSA website remains up-to-date, clear, and attractive. They maintain activities and news, publish updates, and work on a clean and fresh online presentation of the club.

Anniversary committee

The anniversary committee organizes all festive activities for SISSA’s 90th anniversary in November 2026. They develop an extensive program and ensure the anniversary year becomes unforgettable for all members.
