Every first Tuesday of the month
On the first Tuesday evening of every month, SISSA organises a casual chess evening at 20:00 in Proeflokaal Hooghoudt where beginners and casual players can drop in without obligation to play against each other.
Please note: we play at Proeflokaal Hooghoudt. Participation is free, but as a guest in the café you are expected to order some drinks.
For beginners and casual players
Are you a recreational player with a lower rating who wants to improve? Or do you simply enjoy playing chess? Then feel free to drop by.
Ready for stronger opponents? Come test your skills in our internal competition. Every Monday evening we play from around 20:00 at Proeflokaal Hooghoudt.
Often a training session beforehand
Although the evening officially starts at 20:00, we often have a training session beforehand. Depending on the trainer, this can last from half an hour to an hour and is of course optional to join.
The training sessions are accessible, tailored to the audience, and interactive. You are challenged to think along and activate your chess brain.
